Thyme Essential Oil

Naturally harvested first Turkish thyme flowers, distilled by steam distillation. Fresh and herbal, this 100% pure thyme essential oil has a strong, aromatic character that is best enjoyed in a diffuser for a warm, herbal atmosphere. Do not apply directly to the skin.

The essential oil is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the thyme plant by water distillation at a rate of 2% - 8%. Its character is warm and aromatic. Thyme oil contains monoterpene phenols (carvacrol and thymol). In particular, a much more volatile oil is obtained than from Thymus and Origanum majorana species.
